Unfortunately I had now arrived at the painful bit, I needed to start spending some money. I didn’t have a large budget for the work and had set a target of just £500 to get the bike on the road, this meant having to source second-hand parts wherever possible to keep the costs down, using the internet and auto jumbles to track the parts down. One of the major expenditures was having the frame, swinging arm etc powder coated, however when I saw the completed job I new it was worth every penny. Once I got the frame back things started to progress quite fast and I soon had the forks rebuilt and the rolling chasse with the wiring loom was ready and waiting for the engine to be lifted into place. That followed shortly after and the thing was actually beginning to look something like.
