Try for Size

I had never restore a bike before and was just looking to get the bike back on the road in a tidy state. But once I got started I decided to put a little more effort into the rebuild. I set to work stripping down, cleaning up, unceasing and painting all the part, this took me about 6 months working on it during the evenings and at weekends, when family commitments allowed. The “I’m just nipping in the garage for five minutes” phrase was wearing at bit thin with my wife by the end though. Nigel had said the engine was in excellent condition and only had 22k on the clock so I decided to leave it alone after checking it hadn’t ceased up and sort out any problems once I had the bike up and running.
